Justa' a place where a little hobby farm girl can blather about life on our little farm, homeschoolin' kiddies, make people sick to death hearin' about Border Collie's as best friends and whatever else crosses my half crazed mind ...

Wind ...
Whatever happened to "in like a lion, and out like a lamb" ... I would love to know.
The wind has blown today at around 900 mph ... maybe more ... my head is just SWIRLING!
At church tonight we played "Are You Smarter Than a Bible Bowler?" WOW, our two Bible Bowlers might just be tough to beat. I can just imagine what the Wolf-man will be like for the next four years ... San Angelo watch out here comes the Wolf-man! Right now they better be careful because the sweet innocent smile of Miss Smiley is lethal when it comes to answering those multiple choice questions. She would reach over real stealthy like and press the buzzer - and then in her soft sweet voice just whip out that little answer with her award winning (not really but golly gee whizzy, Ms. Julia Roberts doesn't have a smile that pretty!) smile and just barely whisper her answer. LOL, she could charm the scales off a rattler with that smile. And then, there is the Ranger ... once he was able to take a breath ... well, let's just say there was no stopping him ringing that buzzer and answering those questions! He didn't need he multiple choice for most of his ... he just answered the quesiton flat out. AMAZING!!! My children amaze me daily!!!
I would like to say I have more to post about tonight ... but my allergies are KILLING me ... I have a horrid headache and I'm going to go find a quiet spot to lay down and crash for a few hours. I didn't get much sleep last night ... I snored all night. Needless to say, my poor Rooster finally got up and went to work at 3am ... just to be rid of me.
Nighty night ... dear friends ....

You have WHAT, living WHERE?????
The cat is in control.

I never in all my life thought I would say these things.
I now have conversations with cat. (Yes, I still talk to Harley-he is still #1 dog in the world!)
I allow cat to sleep on my pillow. (No, Harley never slept on my pillow – he sleeps on Roo’s.)
I actually have come to realize … I like cat. And yes this beautiful green/grey eyed Tabby does have a name.

Her name is Tigger – no not original, but I have a chocolate eyed girl that thinks Tigger is tops, whether it is Tigger and Pooh or Tigger and Smiley! I call her Tiggity-Tig Cat … and she comes to me … she follows me … she seeks me out. I have a theory on this … it is because I am allergic to cats. LOL, oh, yeah did I mention I have purchased stock in OTC Zyrtec®. My little green capped bottle and I are BEST friends.

Of course the most hilarious part about Tiggity-Tig is her 5:30 am playtime with Rooster. While my precious one is in the bathroom doing his morning routine, he has Tig either playing with her toys under his feet, pouncing off laundry baskets at him as he moves back and forth, jumping out from behind the door, watching him shower and shave, and last but not least jumping off of the cabinet shelves at him!! Well, I don’t know … her jumping out from under the bed as he walks by is pretty funny too!!

Happy Birthday ... to Miss Smiley
It is hard to believe that this was you (Christmas 1998) just ten very short years ago. Where did all the time go Miss Smiley ...
Your Nini Angel was so very proud of you. My little chunky girl ... just weighing in at 9 lbs 8 oz. ... you made your big strappin' brothers looks rather small and helpless.
We brought you home from the hospital ... less than a day after you were born. I was so tired from labor, but I just wanted to get you home and get into my bed ... where I could cuddle you up and SLEEP while your Poppa Rooster watched over us.
Of course I should have known that the love affair was sealed between you and Nini Angel when she fed you mashed potatos and gravy your first Thanksgiving (shaking head). Your Poppa Rooster threatened her with driving you back to town where she could soothe your little gassy tummy ... unfortunately for her, see she would have loved to soothe you ... you nursed and slept through the night. ((Rolling-eyes)) So, at just three months old ... you started eating homemade babyfood. So beautiful ...
Laughing and smiling ...
Enjoying your moment in the sun ...
You have become such a helpful, caring, young lady. Giving your best, caring for our family ... you have embraced the biblical sense of the world service, and actually enjoying blessing your family.

Smiley and Bubba da' Steer
This is Smiley's steer .. Bubba. I took these pictures where she would have them to remember him by ... Of course being a steer, he is destined for the freezer. And while I am a realist and know that we have to have the meat for food, I am also the mommy. The mommy that loves my tender hearted little girl so very much.
